Troops ready to go home after 16 months in Iraq

After almost 16 months at war, the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team will begin heading home this month. Its 3,500 troops will be back at their base in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, by mid-December. Theirs has been one of the longest tours of duty that the Pentagon has imposed on a major unit in Iraq since the war began.
